February 2010: Two times at Duerrnhaar with the club's youth group

The site is nearly 20 kilometers SE of the Munich city center, easily reachable with the Metropolitan train.

Mostly cloudy at Sunday evening, February 7, 2010

With Johannes, Josua, Kristina and Sibylle from the youth group, plus Martin and me. I took along my old 10-inch Dobson

At the 10-inch: f.l. Johannes, Ben, Martin, Kristina and Sibylle

The mirror is removed at the end

Occasionally there were some clearings in the cloud cover, so we could at least see a few objects between 18:00 and 20:30:
I noted Mars, M42, Plejades, M37 and the Double Cluster h+Chi Persei.

Now four of Martin's images:

This time with a better sky, in addition to the above mentioned highlights last week we also observed M82,
the Crab nebula M1, M35, M67 and the color-contrast doubles Alamak, Eta Cas and Iota Cancri.
