2013: Perseid observing at Sudelfeld
The night Saturday to Sunday, August 10/11, 2013, with altogether nine observers from our club.
Arriving: From left Johannes, Michael, Stefanie and Tobi

22:38 CEST: Meteor observers

The first half was clear, afterward more clouds. With about 50 Perseids, 10 Delta Aquariids and some additional meteors.
I took along my 120mm refractor: The Veil nebula (with OIII-filter) using 21mm/13mm Ethos was a highlight, some saw
it first time from an Alpine sky, like new active member Stefanie. And, among the fainter objects, once again the SN in
M74, and the Wolf-Rayet Bubble WR 134 in the Swan. It was discernible using averted vision, both with 29x and 47x,
plus OIII, as a small arc - not hold for 100% of the time, but definite. Details are found on Reiner Vogel's astro-homepage
