Within four days, both with Barny and an overnight stay at the site.
Observing at Sudelfeld in the night Monday/Tuesday, May 14/15, 2012
With Barny and his 18-inch, and some other observers, among them Uwe with 14-inch and Marc with 10-inch.

Ben observing in the dusk ...

A clear night with observing from 20:30 to 2:15. Many bright spring galaxies in the 18", plus some fainter objects like the planetary
Abell 36, the three-arm spiral NGC 5054, the Coma- and Hercules galaxy clusters, the Double Quasar near NGC 3079, the interesting
group with the galaxies NGC 5529/5544, nice spiral details in M99 and the pair NGC 4298/4302.

I was active from 22:00 to 4:00. Initially clear, then two hours with cloud holes, and since 1:30 excellent transparency.
I observed first of all spring galaxies, among them e.g. Leo's Triplett, NGC 3877, NGC 3893, NGC 3938, NGC 4013,
NGC 4051, NGC 4085/4088, NGC 4111, NGC 4144, NGC 4157, NGC 4217, NGC 4449, M94, M106, NGC 4605 and
NGC 5248 - among them are some thin edge-on galaxies in the border region Canes Venatici /Ursa Major. Later I could
discern four objects of the remote galaxy cluster Abell 2065 with averted vision.
